1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern access to the NeuroDeck website, study application and related features. “NeuroDeck”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator providing the service; “you” means the person using it. Contact neurodeck.mlm@gmail.com about the service, these terms or the identity of the operator.
Please read the terms before creating an account or using account-based features. If you do not agree to them, do not create an account or continue using those features. Nothing on this page makes an unlawful or unfair term binding, overrides rules about a person’s ability to enter a contract, or requires you to give up a right that the law protects.
2. Key points
NeuroDeck is a study tool. You remain responsible for checking study content, keeping your account secure and following your school’s or examination board’s rules. Axon can make mistakes. Cloud syncing and third-party integrations can fail. Keep an independent copy of important work and check that important calendar events have been saved.
You retain rights in your own content. We need limited permission to process it to provide the features you request. These terms do not guarantee a grade, an examination result or an uninterrupted service. Equally, they do not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Eligibility and younger users
The service is intended for users aged 13 and over. Do not register if you are under 13. If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding agreement in your country, use the service only where you have the permission and support required by applicable law. A minimum age statement is not a representation that every child can independently enter a binding contract.
If you are a parent, guardian or teacher helping a student, explain the AI and privacy features in an age-appropriate way. Do not assume that helping someone use the app gives you access to their private messages or authority to grant rights over their materials. We may investigate an eligibility concern proportionately.
4. Accounts and credentials
Provide accurate account information and use an email address or sign-in provider you are authorised to use. Choose a secure password where applicable, protect your connected Google account and keep recovery information up to date. Do not sell, rent or transfer an account, impersonate someone else or use another person’s credentials without authority.
Tell us promptly if you suspect account misuse. We may verify identity before restoring access or disclosing account information. You are responsible for activity you authorise and for taking reasonable precautions with your account; this does not automatically make you responsible for every unauthorised act or excuse a security failure for which we are legally responsible.
5. Personal educational use
Subject to these terms, you may access the app for your own lawful educational use. Features can include organising materials, creating and importing flashcards, studying, viewing progress, using Axon and planning revision. Access is a limited permission to use the service, not a transfer of ownership of the software or a promise of permanent access to a particular feature.
The service is not an official examination-board product, a school information system or a substitute for a qualified teacher. Mentions of subjects, courses, textbooks or examinations do not imply endorsement by their owners. You should confirm specifications, deadlines and assessment requirements with your school or the relevant official source.
6. Your content and the permissions you give us
As between you and NeuroDeck, you keep the rights you already have in your decks, documents, notes and other uploaded content. You confirm that you have permission to upload and use that material for the purposes you request. Being able to download or photograph a document does not necessarily give you the right to reproduce or submit it to an AI provider.
You grant NeuroDeck a non-exclusive permission to host, store, copy, transmit, format, display and otherwise process your content only as reasonably needed to operate the service, sync it, provide requested AI or calendar features, and maintain security. This includes using the providers necessary to perform those tasks. It does not give us a general right to sell your private materials, publish them as advertising or claim ownership of them.
The permission lasts while required for those purposes and ends for deleted content subject to lawful retention, necessary technical deletion processes and any copies you have independently shared. Personal-data processing remains governed by data protection law and the Privacy Policy; a content licence is not blanket privacy consent.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to infringe copyright, violate privacy, harass others, facilitate unlawful activity or distribute malicious material. Do not upload passwords, authentication secrets or confidential third-party records. Do not use the service to exploit children, threaten people, impersonate another person or create material you are not legally entitled to possess or distribute.
Do not bypass authentication, attempt to access another user’s data, interfere with security controls, introduce malware, deliberately overload the app, evade usage limits or exploit a vulnerability. Automated bulk extraction or requests that materially disrupt the service are not authorised. Restrictions do not prohibit activity that applicable law expressly protects, including legitimate security reporting conducted without accessing or exposing other users’ information.
8. Axon and generated material
Axon produces responses using an external AI service and may use web search. It can generate plausible but incorrect facts, invented references, incomplete explanations, biased content or inappropriate suggestions. Results can differ between requests, and different users may receive similar output. A model name or confident tone does not establish accuracy, originality or suitability.
Review generated cards and answers before relying on them. Check quotations, calculations, citations and current information against reliable sources. Do not use Axon as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safeguarding or other consequential decisions. It is not an emergency service and does not provide a confidential professional relationship.
Your request may include relevant library, document and chat context, which is sent to the AI provider. Avoid including sensitive information. We cannot guarantee that an AI result is free of third-party rights, and these terms do not grant rights we do not hold. These cautions describe limitations of the feature; they do not disapply standards or remedies that the law requires.
9. Academic integrity and responsibility
Use NeuroDeck in accordance with your school’s, university’s and examination board’s rules about assistance, permitted resources, attribution and AI. Do not submit generated work as wholly your own where that breaches applicable assessment rules. You decide whether the feature is permitted for a particular task, and you must make any required disclosure.
Study schedules, review intervals, streaks, practice marks and performance indicators are estimates or records for personal learning. They are not promises about future grades or a certified assessment. NeuroDeck does not undertake to teach an entire syllabus, detect every misunderstanding or ensure you revise every required topic.
10. Third-party services and calendar access
Authentication, hosting, AI responses and optional integrations depend on external providers. Using Google sign-in or connecting Google Calendar may require a separate account and acceptance of the relevant provider’s terms. A provider may change its service, limits, policies or permissions. Links to external material do not amount to an endorsement of all its contents.
When you request calendar synchronisation or deletion, NeuroDeck can make changes to linked Google Calendar events. Check your dates, time zone and event details before relying on them. Disconnecting the integration removes the app’s saved connection credentials but does not necessarily remove previously created events or revoke every permission in your Google Account. You can manage external access through Google’s settings.
We remain responsible for our own performance to the extent required by law. The involvement of a third party is not, by itself, a complete defence to a claim about the service we provide.
11. Saving, synchronisation and backups
Browser storage and cloud storage are separate. Network errors, browser restrictions, account changes, provider outages, conflicting edits or storage limits may delay or prevent saving. A local copy or an on-screen change is not proof that all devices or the backend have received it. Pay attention to errors and retry an unsuccessful save.
Keep an independent copy of irreplaceable documents and other important content. Clearing site data, uninstalling a browser or changing devices can remove local records. We do not promise unlimited storage, permanent history or restoration of every deleted or unsaved item. These precautions do not transfer to you a loss for which we are legally responsible.
12. Availability, limits and changes
Features may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, provider interruptions or circumstances beyond reasonable control. We may apply proportionate limits to request size, upload size, AI use or storage to protect performance, security and operating capacity. A feature described in a preview may not be available for every account or deployment.
We may improve, replace or withdraw features for legitimate technical, security, legal or operational reasons. Where a change materially disadvantages users, we will aim to give reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to save important content where practicable. Urgent security or legal changes may require quicker action. Any paid or otherwise legally protected entitlement remains subject to applicable consumer law.
13. Charges and future paid features
These terms do not authorise an undisclosed charge or create an automatic subscription. If a paid feature is offered, its price, billing arrangements and any additional terms must be presented before you agree to pay. Introducing payment requires a separate, clear step; using an existing free feature is not acceptance of future charges.
Where consumer cancellation, refund or digital-content rights apply to a purchase, they are not removed by these terms. A separately agreed lawful purchase term may provide additional information, but cannot override rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Our software and branding
Rights in the NeuroDeck name, branding, interface and original software belong to their respective owners, subject to any applicable open-source licences. You may not represent that you operate or are endorsed by NeuroDeck, reproduce protected branding deceptively or distribute copies of proprietary components without permission.
Third-party libraries, fonts, icons, models and services remain subject to their own rights and licences. These terms do not restrict a permission a rights holder has separately granted you, an applicable open-source licence or a statutory exception.
15. Reports, restrictions and account closure
Report suspected infringement, privacy violations, abuse or security issues to our contact email. Give enough detail to identify the material or conduct without sending unnecessary personal information. If you report a rights issue, explain your authority to act for the affected rights holder. We may request clarification and take proportionate action while reviewing a report.
We may restrict a feature, remove unlawful material or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to investigate serious misuse, protect users or comply with law. Where lawful and practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond. We may act immediately where delay would create a material risk. Contact us if you believe a restriction is mistaken.
You may stop using the service at any time and request account closure or personal-data erasure through the privacy contact. Stopping use or signing out does not itself erase stored data. Closure and retention are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
16. Service standards and warranties
We do not promise that the service will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device or suitable for a purpose you have not explained to us. We do not guarantee examination outcomes, the accuracy of every third-party source, or AI originality. To the extent permitted by law, additional implied promises are excluded unless stated in these terms or otherwise agreed.
However, this wording does not exclude any obligation to use reasonable care and skill, supply digital content to the standard required by law, honour binding descriptions or provide a statutory remedy where those duties apply. A general “as is” description cannot remove mandatory consumer protection.
17. Liability and rights we cannot exclude
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that the law does not permit us to exclude or limit. Nothing removes your statutory consumer rights, your data protection rights or a lawful right to a remedy.
Subject to that protection, we are responsible for loss caused by our breach where the loss is a foreseeable result of the breach. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was reasonably contemplated when the relevant agreement was made. We do not accept responsibility for a loss solely because it occurred while you used the app; the ordinary legal requirements of causation, proof and any applicable limitation still apply.
The service is supplied for personal educational use. To the extent lawful and fair, we are not responsible for business losses arising from use outside that intended purpose, or losses caused solely by your unlawful conduct or an event for which we have no legal responsibility. There is no blanket requirement for you to indemnify us, no automatic forfeiture of your rights and no statement that all data loss or third-party failure is your responsibility.
18. Complaints, governing law and courts
Contact us with a clear explanation of a problem and the outcome you seek so we can try to resolve it. An informal complaint is not a compulsory precondition to a legal claim, does not shorten a statutory time limit and does not require you to accept a settlement.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, except where mandatory protections of the country in which you habitually live apply. Consumers retain any right to bring proceedings in a court available to them under applicable law, including their home courts where those rules provide that right. These terms do not impose compulsory arbitration, a class-action waiver or an exclusive foreign forum.
19. Updates and interpretation
This version is effective from 19 October 2026. We may amend the terms to reflect changes to the service, the law or reasonable operational requirements. Significant changes should be communicated appropriately before they apply, where practicable. Additional agreement will be sought where required; a publication date alone does not retrospectively authorise a change to an existing right.
If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it applies only to the extent it can lawfully apply, and the remaining terms continue where possible. A delay in enforcing a right does not automatically waive it. We cannot transfer an agreement in a way that unlawfully reduces your rights. No interpretation of these terms overrides mandatory law.
20. Related policies and contact
Read the Privacy Policy for personal-data handling and the Cookie Policy for browser storage. Neither notice is permission to process information unlawfully. If these documents appear inconsistent, contact us for clarification; mandatory privacy and consumer rights take priority over wording that conflicts with them.
For support, complaints, account questions and notices relating to these terms, email neurodeck.mlm@gmail.com. Include the relevant account email and a description of the issue, but never your password or an authentication token.
